Terminal B is the busiest of the three at John Wayne, carrying most of the Southwest, United and American traffic. That makes the curb crowded in the late afternoon and around the Southwest banks, so the pickup plan matters more here than at Terminal A. We quote the full trip from the Terminal B curb to your address in advance, and the driver times the approach to your actual bag collection rather than to the scheduled landing.
For arrivals, take the escalator down to the Arrivals level and exit through the Terminal B doors in the centre of the building. Message on WhatsApp once you are at the carousel and the car leaves the cell-phone lot then, arriving as you reach the curb. During the busy late-afternoon window the driver may ask you to walk a few metres toward the Terminal A end, where the lane clears faster.
Departing from Terminal B
For departures, we use the Terminal B entrance on the Departures level, next to the Southwest and United counters. Southwest's early morning departures out of SNA are the single busiest slot on our calendar, so pickup times between 4am and 6am fill first on any given date. The booking calendar shows which of those times are still open and marks the ones already reserved.
SNA Terminal B questions
Where exactly do you meet passengers at SNA Terminal B?
At the passenger pickup lane on the Arrivals level outside the Terminal B doors, in the middle of the terminal building. The driver waits in the cell-phone lot and pulls up when you confirm on WhatsApp that you have your bags, which avoids both the circling and the long walk to the rideshare area. Terminal B gets congested in the late afternoon, so occasionally the driver will suggest stepping a short distance toward the Terminal A doors where the lane moves more freely. An inside meet at baggage claim with a name board is available on request at no extra charge.
What does a Tesla pickup at SNA Terminal B cost?
The fare depends on the driving distance between the terminal and your address, and you see the exact number before you book anything. Enter both addresses in the fare calculator on the home page and the price appears straight away, worked out from the real route rather than a zone chart. That figure is then fixed: it does not rise because your flight landed at 6am, because the 405 is slow, or because it happens to be a Friday. There is no airport surcharge, no card fee and no late-night premium on top of it.
Do you track my flight for a Terminal B pickup?
Yes, on every airport booking. Add your flight number when you book and the arrival time is monitored automatically, so a delayed inbound simply moves the pickup rather than costing you a no-show fee. Reasonable waiting time is already built into the quoted fare, covering the usual spread of taxiing, deplaning and baggage claim at John Wayne. If the flight is cancelled outright, the booking cancels free of charge under the standard one-hour policy.
How much luggage fits from Terminal B?
Four large checked bags plus cabin luggage fits comfortably in the Model Y, using the rear cargo area, the deep well under the load floor and the front trunk. Golf clubs, a stroller or a child seat are not a problem — a rear-facing infant seat and a toddler seat are both available if you request them when booking. If you are carrying something unusually bulky such as a bike box or more than four checked bags, note it in the booking so you get a straight answer before you pay rather than at the curb.
Can I pay by card for a Terminal B ride?
Yes. Once the fare is calculated you can pay online immediately with Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover through an encrypted Square checkout, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, and card details are never stored by us. If you would rather settle at the end of the ride you can pay by card or cash in the car instead, at the same price. Prepaying is usually easier for business travellers because the confirmation email and the PDF receipt arrive together and can be forwarded straight to expenses.
